We've been the Neighbourhood Toy Store since 1980, and owner Lee Richmond has been here since the beginning. She's watched those first young Kaboodles customers grow and now they're bringing their little ones to shop!

We've grown lots bigger, added two cool locations — Granville Island and Downtown Victoria — and expanded our toy selection, but, at heart, Kaboodles is still all about kids and community!

our philosophy

At Kaboodles, we know that "play" is fun AND important — it's how children learn and grow. We select our toys, games and puzzles with care, based on quality, play value, and "fun-quotient." Our buyers are notorious at toy fairs and trade shows for behaving like 8 year olds... bouncing, jumping, squeezing, even flinging the toys about! A toy has to pass our Fun Test to be on Kaboodles' shelves!

To be sure that Kaboodles caters to little people, you will find low, kid-friendly cash desks, fun displays, plenty of toys to try out, and kids washrooms too! Our awesome personal service and whimsical atmosphere make Kaboodles Toy Store a welcome place for kids and silly adults!

As Kaboodlians, we are the toy experts! Our staff of thirty-five is a dynamic mix of youth and experience, from our part-time students, who know what fun is all about, to seasoned mothers, who know what's best for baby!

Want to know how to play a new board game? We'll pull out the demo and challenge you to a round! Would your eight year old nephew enjoy that pink ballet tutu? We can help you decide! Is that stuffed elephant safe for your three month old? We know!

Our staff are educated about what they sell. We participate in several product information sessions throughout the year, and we pass that knowledge on to you. Go on... ask us ANYTHING!
